For a wedding on the beach, Danielle and Tim probably couldn’t have asked for more. The sun was high in the sky, not a cloud stood in sight and the balmy, seashore breeze bathed us all in that perfect, salty aroma that is unmistakably the mark of summer. Everything was exactly as it should be. And Danielle was just about as zen a bride as I’ve ever seen – she was calm, composed and had not one jitter about making that walk down the aisle to meet her very best friend and begin a new chapter that they had both awaited for so long.
We began at the Boardwalk Plaza hotel, the pinkest and most fabulous icon on the Rehoboth boardwalk, filled to the brim with vintage Victorian style. Both quaint and regal at the same time, this location was a perfect match for the elegant and simple beauty that describes Danielle. From there, we wandered toward the water at Lake Gerar Park to meet up with Tim for their ”first look” and once they laid eyes on each other and the day’s reality set in, it was time. To. Party.
So, with the sunshine on our backs, we traveled eagerly to the Indian River Life Saving Station, a gorgeous stretch of Delaware State Park beach, and watched as two soul mates exchanged their vows barefoot in the sand. Has there ever been anything so romantic?
Danielle & Tim, a couple I have loved getting to know, shared both strikingly similar pasts and hopeful futures with, I wish for you that your undeniably inspiring bond continues to grow each day as strong as the sun shone on the two of you when you said “I do”.
